July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable. Drain engine coolant. Disconnect throttle cable and accelerator cable from throttle body linkage. Mark/label and disconnect vacuum hoses from throttle body. Remove air cleaner intake duct connector clamps and remove duct hose.
  2. Disconnect Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) connector. Remove 2 mounting bolts and 2 nuts retaining throttle body. Remove throttle body enough to disconnect 2 coolant by-pass hoses and 2 air hoses. Remove throttle body, noting position of gasket for reassembly reference.
  3. Connect 2 coolant by-pass hoses and 2 air hoses to throttle body. Install NEW gasket with protrusion toward TPS side. Tighten throttle body bolts and nuts to 115 INCH lbs. (13 N.m). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
