Coolant Temp Sensor Test

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Unplug connector from sensor. For sensor location, see appropriate illustration in THEORY & OPERATION article in this section.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between sensor terminals. Replace sensor if resistance is not within specification at specified temperature. See Fig 1.
