July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Control Switch Circuit

  1. Turn ignition off. Check for continuity between terminal No. 28 of control switch (terminal No. 1 on Van) and good body ground with "ACCEL/RESUME" in "ON" position. If continuity is not present, test control switch.
  2. If continuity is present, repeat step 1) with "ACCEL/RESUME" in "OFF" position. If continuity is present, test control switch. If continuity is not present, disconnect wiring harness connector at cruise control computer.
  3. Check for continuity between harness terminal No. 13 of computer (terminal No. 16 on Van) and good body ground with "ACCEL/RESUME" in "ON" position. If continuity is not present, check for open in harness between terminal No. 13 of computer (terminal No. 16 on Van) and terminal No. 28 of control switch (terminal No. 1 on Van).
  4. If continuity is present, check operation of actuator. Replace actuator if not operating properly. If actuator is operating properly, replace cruise control computer.
