Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)

  1. Loosen 2 TPS retaining screws. Insert a .028" (.70 mm) thickness gauge between throttle stop screw and throttle. With ignition off and electrical connector disconnected, connect ohmmeter between terminals IDL and TL.
  2. Gradually turn TPS counterclockwise until ohmmeter needle deflects. Secure TPS retaining screws. Perform resistance tests for terminals IDL - TL.
