Tire Pressure Monitor Warning Light

NOTE: The warning light may come on due to normal causes such as natural air leaks and pressure changes caused by changes in temperature or atmospheric pressure.
NOTE: In high altitude areas, the warning light may not turn off even after adjusting tire pressures. In this case, adjust inflation pressure to a slightly higher pressure than specified.

When the tire pressure is judged as lower than the specified value (190 kPa), BCM makes the low tire pressure warning light in the combination meter light up and stores the DTC in its memory. Also, when a faulty condition of the system is detected, BCM makes the low tire pressure warning light in the combination meter light up after blinks for 75 seconds and stores the DTC in its memory.

When tire pressure warning light illuminates, immediately check air pressure of all tires and adjust to the specified pressure. If warning light is still on, repair flat tire. If warning light is flashing, ensure TPM system sensors are registered.

If warning light is still on or flashing after adjusting tire pressure and registering system sensors, there is a problem in the TPM system. See appropriate manufacturer service information.
