Propeller Shaft Caution
WARNING:
Failure to use proper propeller shaft fasteners or to perform proper maintenance / repair of propeller shaft components can cause unsafe operating conditions.
- Replace propeller shaft fasteners only with fasteners having the same part number or their equivalent. Do not use replacement parts of lesser quality or substitute design.
- Observe the specified torque value for each fastener to assure proper retention of components.
- Never try to repair any propeller shaft part using heating, quenching, or straightening. Instead, replace the part with a new one.
