Precautions For Servicing Wheels And Tires: Notes

WARNING: Using tires of different types such as radial, bias and bias-belted tires on the same vehicle may increase stress on drivetrain components. In addition, as this affects vehicle handling, there is an increased risk of loss of control and an accident. Do not mix different type tires on the same vehicle except in an emergency.

Repairs by any means including welding, heating or peening are not permitted. All damaged wheels should be replaced.
There are two types of vehicle, one with TPMS and the other without TPMS. Check which type of vehicle is being serviced, referring to IDENTIFICATION OF TPMS-EQUIPPED VEHICLES before servicing its tires or wheels. Failure to follow the specified procedure when servicing tires or wheels of a vehicle equipped with TPMS may cause damage to the tire pressure sensors.
