Front Strut Assembly Disassembly and Reassembly: Disassembly

  1. Attach special tool to coil spring as shown. Turn special tool bolts alternately until coil spring tension does not work any more. Rotate the strut assembly around its axis to confirm that the assembly is free from coil spring tension.

  2. While keeping coil spring compressed with special tool, remove strut support rod nut with special tools as shown.

  3. Disassemble front strut assembly components in the indicated order, see FRONT STRUT ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS .
