Driver Air Bag (Inflator) Module Removal and Installation: Notes

WARNING: Failure to take proper precautions when performing service on the driver air bag (inflator) module can result in personal injury or non-activation of the air bag in the event of a collision.

Never attempt to disassemble or repair an air bag (inflator) module. If any abnormality is found, replace the module with a new one.
Carefully read PRECAUTIONS FOR AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE , PRECAUTIONS FOR HANDLING AND STORAGE OF AIR BAG SYSTEM COMPONENTS and PRECAUTIONS ON DISPOSAL OF AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER and follow all of the instructions provided.

CAUTION: An air bag (inflator) module that has been dropped may not operate correctly. Never use an air bag (inflator) module that has been dropped. Replace the module with a new one.

NOTE: Refer to REPAIR AND INSPECTION REQUIRED AFTER ACCIDENT before replacing deployed air bag.
