Tire Pressure Monitor Warning Light

NOTE: The warning light may come on due to normal causes such as natural air leaks and pressure changes caused by changes in temperature or atmospheric pressure.

If the tire pressure is lower than 29.7 psi (205 kPa), the KSCM instructs the low tire pressure warning light to illuminate. The KSCM can also detect any malfunctions within the TPM system. When a malfunction is detected, the KSCM instructs the low tire pressure warning light to flash for 75 seconds, then remain illuminated.

When tire pressure warning light illuminates, immediately check air pressure of all tires and adjust to the specified pressure. If warning light is still on, repair flat tire. If warning light is flashing, ensure TPM system sensors are registered.

If warning light is still on or flashing after adjusting tire pressure and registering system sensors, there is a problem in the TPM system. See appropriate manufacturer service information.
