Permanent DTC

Clear permanent DTC as follows after confirming no pending DTC and confirmed DTC are not stored in control module, however permanent DTC clears automatically when control module detects no malfunction in the trouble area of the stored permanent DTC and has determined that the condition is normal.
- Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
- Connect CAN communication OBD generic scan tool or SUZUKI scan tool to DLC. See DTC CHECK .
- Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
- Read detected permanent DTC(s) according to instructions displayed on scan tool and print them or write them down. (Refer to scan tool operator's manual for details.)
- Execute all of the following.
- Perform "DTC Confirmation Procedure" described in each DTC troubleshooting for pending and/or confirmed DTC(s) corresponding to permanent DTC(s) read in Step 4).
- Run engine for 12 minutes or more.
- Drive vehicle at more than 45 km/h (28 mile/h) for more than 6 minutes.
- Run engine at idle for more than 1 minute.
- Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
- Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
- Confirm that permanent DTC is cleared. If permanent DTC is still displayed on scan tool, repeat Step 5) through 6).
