Centering of Contact Coil Cable Assembly

Reference: CONTACT COIL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 

  1. Remove steering wheel, see Steering Wheel Removal and Installation .
  2. Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
  3. Turn contact coil cable assembly fully counterclockwise.
    CAUTION: Turning with excessive force will break coil. Turn rotation part (2) with a light force holding bottom of connector (1).

  4. From the position of Step  3), turn it back clockwise and position connector at top within one rotation.
  5. Turn rotation part (2) two turns clockwise and position connector (1) at top. Check that triangle mark (4) on rotation part (2) is aligned with that on fixed part (3) and orange roller (5) is visible in hole as shown in figure.
