Differential Side Oil Seal Replacement

  1. Hoist vehicle and drain transaxle oil, see Manual Transaxle Oil Change .
  2. Remove the following parts.
  3. Remove oil seal (1) using special tool.

    Special Tool 

    1. 09913-50121

  4. Install new oil seal (1) to specified position using special tool.
    NOTE:
    • When installing oil seal, face its spring side inward.
    • Install oil seal exactly to the specified height.

    Special Tool 

    1. 09944-88220 
    2. 09944-66010 
    3. 09924-74510 

    Distance between case and left oil seal 

    "a": 1.0 - 2.0 mm (0.04 - 0.07 in.) 

    Distance between case and right oil seal 

    "b": 8.5 - 9.5 mm (0.34 - 0.37 in.) 

  5. Apply grease to oil seal lip and at the same time check smoothness of area where drive shaft contacts oil seal.

    "A": Grease 99000-25011 (SUZUKI Super Grease A)

  6. Install the following parts.
  7. Pour transaxle oil, see Manual Transaxle Oil Change .
