Control Rod Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Hoist vehicle and remove rear wheels, see WHEEL (WITH TIRE) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Support lower arm with jack.
  3. Put matchmark (3) across adjustment washer (1) and rear suspension frame (2).
  4. Remove control rod lock nut (4), adjustment washer, control rod adjustment bolt (5), control rod nut (6) and control rod bolt (7).
  5. Remove control rod (8).
