Exhaust Manifold Removal and Installation: Removal

CAUTION: Be careful not to drop exhaust manifold. If it is dropped, inside catalytic converter may be damaged on impact.

Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
Remove exhaust manifold cover.
Disconnect A/F sensor connector (1) and HO2S connector (2), and then detach them from their brackets.

Remove right side engine undercover.
Remove exhaust manifold stiffener (1).
Remove exhaust pipe No. 1 (2).

Remove exhaust manifold and its gasket from cylinder head.
Remove A/F sensor and HO2S if necessary, see A/F SENSOR AND HO2S REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
