Balancer Shaft Thrust Play

- Install balancer shafts, balancer bearings and balancer shaft cover to oil pump housing, see Balancer Shaft Removal and Installation .
- Using dial gauge, measure thrust play (axial direction) as shown in figure.
If measured thrust play is out of specification, replace oil pump assembly.
