DTC Troubleshooting

DTC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Step Action YES NO
Scan tool parameter check 
  1. Check "Cabin Temperature" using "Data list" mode on SUZUKI scan tool, see Scan Tool Data .

Is temperature over 87.5 °C (189.5 °F)? 
Go to Step 2. Intermittent trouble.
Inside air temperature sensor signal circuit check 
  1. Disconnect inside air temperature sensor connector.
  2. Check "Cabin Temperature" using "Data list" mode on SUZUKI scan tool, see Scan Tool Data .

Is temperature over 87.5 °C (189.5 °F)? 
Go to Step 3. Replace inside air temperature sensor, see Inside Air Temperature Sensor Removal and Installation .
Inside air temperature sensor signal circuit check 
  1. Disconnect "G20" connector.
  2. Check that resistance between "LT GRN/RED" wire terminal and ground is infinity.

Is it in good condition? 
Replace HVAC control module and recheck DTC, see HVAC Control Module Removal and Installation . Repair or replace defective wire harness.
