DTC Confirmation Procedure

  1. Clear DTC.
  2. Start engine and select 2WD/i-AWD switch to the i-AWD position.
  3. Apply parking brake, block wheels and press brake pedal.
  4. Select lever "R" position, depress accelerator lightly enough so that the vehicle does not start to move, for over 5 seconds.
    CAUTION:
    • This test raises the CVT fluid to high temperature. If the engine is shut down immediately after the test, the CVT fluid will remain in high temperature and will deteriorate. Run the engine at idle for 30 seconds or longer after the test to cool down the CVT fluid sufficiently.
    • To avoid any personal injury or property damage, hold the vehicle securely while testing.
  5. Stop engine and check DTC.
