Brake Light Switch Adjustment

  1. Remove brake light switch, see BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. While pulling up brake pedal (2) fully and pressing the screw end of brake light switch (1) to pedal bracket, install brake light switch turning it clockwise approx. 90°.
NOTE: While installing brake light switch turning it clockwise, the switch body rises from the pedal bracket by approximately 1.5 mm (0.060 in.). This movement automatically creates specified clearance i.e., clearance of 1.0 to 2.0 mm (0.040 to 0.080 in.) between switch screw end and the pedal bracket.
