DTC Troubleshooting

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step Action YES NO
1  DTC check 
  1. Clear DTC, see DTC CLEARANCE .
  2. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
  3. Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE  and then recheck DTC.

Is DTC B1161 or B1163 still detected? 		 Go to Step 2. Intermittent trouble.
2  DTC check 
  1. Replace steering lock unit, see AUTO STEERING LOCK UNIT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE  and then recheck DTC.

Is DTC B1161 or B1163 still detected? 		 Replace keyless start control module and recheck DTC, see KEYLESS START CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . End. (Steering lock unit was faulty.)
