Select Cable Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
  2. Remove air cleaner assembly, see AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove console box, see CENTER CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Disconnect select cable from select lever and then detach it from bracket, see SELECT LEVER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove clip of select cable and disconnect select cable from manual select lever.
  6. Remove select cable retainer from dash panel.
