For Vehicle Equipped with TPMS
- As the wheels have tire pressure sensors, they differ in shape from wheels without tire pressure sensor. When replacing any wheel, be sure to use only a genuine wheel specified by the manufacturer.
- When replacing tires, check that the tire size is as specified in the "Tire Placard", otherwise the tire pressure sensor may be broken as it comes in contact with the bead of tire.
- Do not use liquid sealants to repair flat tires. If a liquid sealant is used, the roll switch in the tire pressure sensor may become stuck and the sensor may fail to function properly.
- For precautions to be taken when diagnosing troubles of the TPMS equipped vehicle, refer to PRECAUTIONS FOR DIAGNOSING TROUBLE .
- When a spare tire is used as a running wheel, ID codes of all tire pressure sensors installed to 4 tires must be re-registered in keyless push start control module. When the vehicle is driven without re-registration of the ID codes, keyless push start control module detects a faulty condition of the system and makes the low tire pressure warning light flash. For the registration procedure, refer to REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ID CODE .
