Front Seat Belt Removal and Installation: Notes

WARNING:
  • Failure to take proper precautions when servicing seat belt components or attempting to disassemble or repair the seat belt pretensioner may cause personal injury.
    • If any abnormality is found with the seat belt pretensioner, never attempt to disassemble or repair it but replace both the seat belt and buckle with a new replacement set.
    • Read PRECAUTIONS ON SERVICE AND DIAGNOSIS OF SEAT BELT  before starting service operations and follow all of the instructions provided.
  • Pay attention to the following points referring to FRONT SEAT BELT COMPONENTS  when replacing the front seat belt. Otherwise, the front seat belt may not work properly and injury in case of collision.
    • Tighten front seat belt bolts and front seat belt screw in numerical order.
    • Tighten buckle nut to specified torque and then check that buckle can be moved backward and forward.
