SECOND SPACING WASHER MISSING ON CVT SECONDARY RPM SENSOR
TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN
Reference Number(s): SI-0021, Date of Issue:
January 28, 2015
| SUZUKI: | All Kizashi and SX4 models with a CVT Transmission |
CONDITION
The Malfunction Indicator Lamp turns ON and DTC P0721 (Output Speed Sensor Range) is stored.
CAUSE
The CVT secondary RPM sensor is originally assembled with two spacing washers. When both spacing washers are not re-installed during service, the secondary RPM sensor will be damaged from contact with the internal drive pinion, resulting in a poor signal to the CVT controller.
CORRECTION
When servicing the secondary RPM sensor, re-install two washers (P/N 26143-54LS0) between the CVT secondary RPM sensor and the CVT case.
