Current DTC
- Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is "OFF".
- Apply light from directly above sunload sensor, holding incandescent light of approximately 100 W about 100 mm (3.94 in.) away from sunload sensor.
- Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
- Set driver and passenger side temperature selector to 72 °F or 25 °C.
- Push "AUTO" switch (1) and defrost switch (2) simultaneously.
NOTE:
Step 3) and 4) must be finished within 15 seconds after completing Step 2).
- Check for DTC (3) displayed on VFD, see DTC TABLE .

NOTE:
- If DTC is checked within 15 seconds after engine starting, "- - -" is displayed on VFD for a few seconds. This indicates system check status of HVAC control module.
- If HVAC control module detects DTC, DTC is displayed on VFD for about 3 minutes continuously.
- If no abnormality is detected, "END" is displayed on VFD for about 4 seconds.
- When HVAC control module detects 2 or more DTCs, each one is displayed once starting from the higher priority DTC.
- DTC is displayed on VFD according to the following steps:
- Higher priority DTC appears for 4 seconds.
- No DTC appears for 0.5 second.
- Next priority DTC appears for 4 seconds.
- No DTC appears for 0.5 second.
- Process continues until all detected DTCs are displayed.
- DTC display is repeated in same steps for about 3 minutes.
- HVAC control module will cancel DTC display due to any of the following conditions:
- Ignition mode of keyless push start system is changed to "OFF".
- Both "AUTO" switch and defrost switch are pushed simultaneously.
- After completing above check, push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
