Inspection of Power Window Anti-Pinching Function

  1. Open door glass fully.
  2. Place wood handle of hammer as shown in figure.
    CAUTION: If vehicle is equipped with door visor, put hammer handle from inside the vehicle to prevent it from touching the visor.
    NOTE: Use switch on each door when checking.
  3. Activate auto up of power window.
  4. Check that window glass automatically reverses to prevent pinching the hammer handle (to a point about 250 mm (9.84 in.) below outside top end (1) of glass run.), see Power Window System Initialization/Reset (Front Windows Only) 
  5. If the function is faulty, initialize power window system, see Power Window System Initialization/Reset (Front Windows Only) .
