Steering Column Removal and Installation: Removal

- Remove steering wheel, see Steering Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Remove contact coil cable assembly and steering angle sensor, see Contact Coil Cable Assembly Removal and Installation .
- Remove instrument panel undercover and steering column hole cover, see COMBINATION METER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove steering joint cover, see STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN COMPONENTS .
- Put matchmark (1) on joint (2) of steering lower shaft and pinion shaft (3).
- Remove lower joint bolt (4).
- Remove steering lower shaft.
- Remove steering column harness clamp (1) from bracket.
- Remove steering column rear nut (2) and steering column front nut (3).
- Remove steering column.
