4WD Control Module Self-Diagnosis Function

For 4WD control system, 4WD control module has the following options:
- When ignition mode of keyless push start system is "ON" with engine off, turn on the i-AWD indicator light (1) and i-AWD warning light (2) at the same time for 2 seconds in order to check operation of these indicators.
- When an abnormality in the system is detected, i-AWD warning light is turned on or blinking and the area where that abnormality lies is stored in the memory in 4WD control module. The 4WD control module sends a signal to the combination meter through CAN communication the instructions displayed on the information display (3) urging vehicle driver to exercise caution and perform required operations.
- DTC can be checked by using SUZUKI scan tool (4) connected to DLC (5).
- When 4WD control module detects any faulty condition, 4WD control module will switch off the current to coupling assembly and vehicle is changed to 2WD position.
