DTC Troubleshooting

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step Action YES NO
DTC check 
  1. Check DTC in ECM, see DTC Table .

Is DTC P0504 detected? 
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC. Go to Step 2.
Brake light switch signal circuit check 
  1. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
  2. Disconnect brake light switch, "C01", "E01" and "L01" connectors.
  3. Check for proper terminal connection to brake light switch, "C01", "E01" and "L01" connectors.
  4. If connections are OK, check that resistance of "A1" circuit: less than 3 Ω

Is it in good condition? 
Replace keyless start control module and recheck DTC, see Keyless Start Control Module Removal and Installation .. Repair or replace defective wire harness.
