Drive Intermediate Shaft Assembly Removal and Installation: Installation

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage differential side oil seal while installing the drive intermediate shaft.

Reverse removal procedure for installation noting the following points:

  1. Temporarily tighten intermediate support bolts in numerical order ("1" - "3").
  2. Tighten intermediate support bolts to specified torque in numerical order ("4" - "6").

    Tightening torque 

    Intermediate support bolt* (a): 55 N.m (5.6 kg-m, 40.5 lbf-ft)
