Front Brake Caliper Removal and Installation: Removal

Hoist vehicle and remove front wheel, see WHEEL (WITH TIRE) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Place a container to catch brake fluid below front brake caliper (2).
Remove flexible hose joint bolt (1) from front brake caliper (2).

Remove front brake caliper pin bolts (1).
Remove front brake caliper cylinder (2) from front brake caliper carrier (3).

Remove brake pads, see Front Brake Pad Removal and Installation .
Remove brake caliper bolts (1) and remove caliper carrier (2) from steering knuckle.
