Front Brake Caliper Removal and Installation: Installation

CAUTION:
Make sure that brake flexible hose is not twisted while installing caliper.
- Install front brake caliper carrier (1) to steering knuckle and tighten brake caliper pin bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Front brake caliper carrier bolt (a): 155 N.m (15.8 kg-m, 114.5 lbf-ft)
- Install brake pads, see Front Brake Pad Removal and Installation .
- Install front brake caliper (2) to front brake caliper carrier and tighten front brake caliper pin bolts (1) to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Front brake caliper pin bolt (a): 34 N.m (3.5 kg-m, 25.0 lbf-ft)
- Install brake flexible hose (1) to front brake caliper with new flexible hose gasket (2) and tighten flexible hose joint bolt to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Flexible hose joint bolt (a): 23 N.m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lbf-ft)
- Fill reservoir with brake fluid and bleed air from brake system, see AIR BLEEDING OF BRAKE SYSTEM .
- Make sure there is no leakage of brake fluid.
- Install front wheel, see WHEEL (WITH TIRE) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Check that brake system operates properly.
