Disabling Procedure (Removing "A/B" Fuse)

WARNING: In disabling procedure with "A/B" fuse removed, be sure to observe the followings.
  • As negative (-) cable of battery is not disconnected, air bag (inflator) module or seat belt pretensioner may be deployed accidentally if drive circuit (+) causes a power short and drive circuit (-) a ground short respectively.
  • In case damage to vehicle wiring harness is found in prior visual check, carry out disabling procedure with negative (-) cable disconnected from battery.
NOTE: Air bag warning light will light if "A/B" fuse is disconnected, but this is normal and DTC for air bag system will not be detected.
  1. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
  2. Remove "A/B" fuse from junction block.
  3. Wait for at least 90 seconds after performing Step  2).
  4. Start working and change ignition mode to ON.
