Front Wheel Bearing Check

Confirm tightness of wheel nuts and retighten them to specified torque if necessary. Refer to WHEEL (WITH TIRE) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Hoist vehicle.
Check wear of wheel bearing. When measuring thrust play, apply a dial gauge to front wheel as shown in figure.
Replace front wheel hub assembly if defective.

Limit: 0.1 mm (0.004 in.)

Check hub bearing noise and smooth wheel rotation by rotating wheel.
Replace front wheel hub assembly if defective.
