Brake Pedal Assembly Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove steering column, see STEERING COLUMN REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove instrument panel, see INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Disconnect brake light switch connector.
  4. Remove battery.
  5. For M/T model, disconnect clutch master cylinder, see CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. For CVT model, remove brake pedal bracket nut (1) located in engine compartment.

  7. Remove clip (2) and clevis pin (3) from cylinder push rod clevis (1).

  8. Remove brake pedal bracket bolts (1) and brake booster nuts (2).

  9. Remove brake booster from dash panel, see BRAKE BOOSTER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  10. Remove accelerator pedal bracket, see ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY (INCORPORATING APP SENSOR) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  11. Remove brake pedal and clutch pedal assembly or brake pedal assembly.

    M/T model: Brake pedal and clutch pedal assembly

    CVT model: Brake pedal assembly
