Fault Items

The following table shows fault items that can be identified through diagnosis and also their codes represented by flashing of seat heater indicator(s).

ERROR CHART

Error Seat heater indicator flashing pattern Correction/Reference item
Overcurrent LOW, MID and HI flash 4 times simultaneously Check seat heater controller circuit, see SEAT HEATER CONTROL SYSTEM CIRCUIT DIAGRAM (IF EQUIPPED) .
30 minutes timer malfunction LOW flashes 4 times
Open thermistor MID flashes 4 times Check seat heater, see SEAT HEATER UNIT INSPECTION (IF EQUIPPED) .
Shorted thermistor HI flashes 4 times
Switch malfunction LOW and HI flash 4 times simultaneously Check seat heater switch, see SEAT HEATER SWITCH INSPECTION (IF EQUIPPED) .
Overvoltage LOW and MID flash 4 times simultaneously Check seat heater controller circuit, see SEAT HEATER CONTROL SYSTEM CIRCUIT DIAGRAM (IF EQUIPPED) .
Too low voltage LOW and MID flash twice simultaneously
Too small current MID and HI flash 4 times simultaneously
