DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

1	Engine switch signal circuit check Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is "OFF". Disconnect "G140" and "G04" connectors. Check for proper terminal connection to "G140" and "G04" connectors. If connections are OK, check the following points. Resistance of "A1", "A2", "A3" and "A4" circuits: less than 3 Ω Resistance between "A1", "A2", "A3", "A4" circuits and ground: infinity Resistance between circuit terminal and other terminals at "G140" connector. Are they in good condition?	Go to Step 2.	Repair or replace defective wire harness.
2	DTC check Replace engine switch, see ENGINE SWITCH REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE and then recheck DTC. Is DTC B1189 still detected?	Replace keyless start control module and recheck DTC, see KEYLESS START CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .	End. (Engine switch was faulty)
