DTC Troubleshooting

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step Action YES NO
1  DTC recheck 
  1. Clear DTC, see DTC CLEARANCE .
  2. Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE  and then recheck DTC.

Is DTC B1157 still detected? 		 Go to Step 2. End. (Air bag has deployed in past. (DTC is not cleared))
2  DTC recheck 
  1. Replace SDM, see SDM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE  and then recheck DTC.

Is DTC B1157 still detected? 		 Substitute a known-good BCM and recheck DTC. End. (SDM was faulty)
