Transmission Shift Control Lever Removal and Installation: Installation

Reference: TRANSMISSION SHIFT CONTROL LEVER INSPECTION 

1. Apply grease to pivot portions, then install shift control lever.

   "A": Grease 99000-25011 (SUZUKI Super Grease A)

2. Set shift control lever (2) to gear shift control arm assembly (3).
3. Install case cover (1) to gear shift control arm assembly. Tighten case cover bolt to specified torque.

   Tightening torque 

   Gear shift control lever case cover bolt (a): 10 N.m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.5 lbf-ft)

4. Install boot No. 1 (1), boot cover (2) and boot No. 2 (3). Tighten control lever boot cover bolt to specified torque.

   Tightening torque 

   Control lever boot cover bolt (a): 12 N.m (1.2 kgf-m, 9.0 lbf-ft)

5. Install gear shift boot silencer.
6. Install front console box referring to CONSOLE BOX COMPONENTS .
7. Install gear shift control lever silencer and boot.
8. Install gear shift control lever knob.
