EVAP Canister Vent Valve Circuit Check

  1. Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC (1) with ignition switch turned to OFF.

    Special Tool 

    (A): SUZUKI scan tool (SUZUKI-SDT)

  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position, clear DTC(s) and select "MISC TEST" mode on SUZUKI scan tool.
  3. Check that operating sound of EVAP canister vent valve (1) is heard only when EVAP canister vent valve is switched ON and OFF.

    If operating sound of EVAP canister vent valve is heard, EVAP canister vent valve and its circuit are in good condition. If operating sound of EVAP canister vent valve is not heard, check EVAP canister vent valve, wire harness and connections.
