Fuel Pipe Removal and Installation: Removal
- Relieve fuel pressure in fuel feed line. Refer to FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
- Disconnect fuel hose (1) from fuel pipe (2) at front and rear of each fuel pipe.
- Mark location of clamps (3) on fuel pipes (2), so that clamps can be reinstalled to where they were.
- Remove clamps (3) from vehicle body, fuel pipes and brake pipes.NOTE: Fuel pipes and brake pipes may be bent or damaged if you are not careful when removing clamps.
Be sure to properly support fuel pipes and brake pipes when removing clamps. - Remove fuel pipe (2).
