Air Bag Warning

For vehicles equipped with Supplemental Restraint (Air Bag) Systems:

WARNING: Failure to take proper precautions when performing service on or around the air bag system components or wiring could cause accidental activation of the air bag system or render the system inoperative. Either of these may lead to personal injury.

Only an authorized SUZUKI dealer should perform service on or around the air bag system components or wiring. Refer to AIR BAG SYSTEM COMPONENT, WIRING AND CONNECTOR LOCATION (Except advanced Air Bag) or AIR BAG SYSTEM COMPONENT, WIRING AND CONNECTOR LOCATION (Advanced Air Bag) in order to confirm whether you are performing service on or near the air bag system components or wiring.
Read and understand all information of "WARNING" and PRECAUTIONS ON SERVICE AND DIAGNOSIS OF AIR BAG SYSTEM (Except advanced Air Bag) or PRECAUTIONS ON SERVICE AND DIAGNOSIS OF AIR BAG SYSTEM (Advanced Air Bag) before performing service on or around the air bag system components or wiring.
All service work must be started at least 90 seconds after the ignition switch has been turned to the "LOCK" position and the negative cable has been disconnected from the battery. Otherwise, the air bag system may be activated by reserve energy stored in the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM).
