Oil Pump Assembly Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
  2. Drain engine oil.
  3. Remove oil pan and oil pump strainer. See OIL PAN AND OIL PUMP STRAINER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove baffle plate from lower crank case (1).
  5. Remove oil pump sprocket cover (2).

  6. Remove oil pump (2) with sprocket from lower crank case (1).
