Replacement of Transmitter Battery (Other than Keyless Start Model)

NOTE: For keyless start model, perform REMOTE CONTROLLER BATTERY REPLACEMENT instead of "REPLACEMENT OF TRANSMITTER BATTERY (OTHER THAN KEYLESS START MODEL)".

If transmitter becomes unreliable, replace transmitter battery as follows.

  1. Put the edge of a coin (1) or a flat blade screw driver in the slot (2) of the transmitter (3) and pry it open.
  2. Replace the battery (lithium disk-type CR2025 or equivalent) (4) so its "+" terminal faces "+" mark of the transmitter (3).
    CAUTION: If you get a foreign substance such as grease or dirt on the printed circuit board or battery, the transmitter may malfunction. Be careful not to get any foreign substance on the printed circuit board or battery.
  3. Close the transmitter (3) firmly.
  4. Make sure the door locks can be operated with the transmitter (3).

    NOTE:
    • To prevent theft, be sure to break the transmitter before discarding it.
    • Dispose of the used battery properly according to applicable rules or regulations. Do not dispose of lithium batteries with ordinary household trash.
