DTC Troubleshooting

DTC AND SYMPTOM REFERENCE CHART

Step Action YES NO
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK FLOW: ADVANCED AIR BAG .
Seat position sensor circuit check 
  1. With ignition switch turned OFF, disconnect seat position sensor connector "L39".
  2. Disconnect SDM connector "L04".
  3. Check for proper connection to SDM connector at terminals "L04-38".
  4. Check for proper connection to seat position sensor connector at terminal in connector "L39".
  5. Measure resistance between "L04-38" and "L39- 2" terminals, between "L39-1" and body ground.

    (A): 09932-76010

Is each measured resistance 1 Ω or less? 
Go to Step 3. Repair open in defective wire.
Seat position sensor circuit check 
  1. With ignition turned ON, measure voltage between "L39-2" terminal and body ground.

Is each measured voltage 0 V? 
Replace seat position sensor, and recheck. If DTC still detected, replace SDM. Repair short to power supply circuit or other circuit in defective wire.
NOTE: Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
