DTC check of ECM
- Check DTC of ECM. See DTC CHECK
Is there any DTC(s)? |
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC. |
Go to Step 3. |

Primary pulley speed sensor and its circuit check
- Check primary pulley speed sensor and its circuit according to Step 3 through 4 of DTC P0717 .
Are they in good condition? |
Go to Step 4. |
Repair or replace defective parts. |

Lock-up/select switching solenoid valve and its circuits check
- Check lock-up/select switching solenoid valve and its circuits according to Step 2 through 3 of DTC P1810 .
Are they in good condition? |
Go to Step 5. |
Repair or replace defective parts. |

TCC solenoid valve drive circuit check
- Turn off ignition switch and disconnect TCM and solenoid connectors.
- Check for proper terminal connection to TCM and solenoid connectors.
- If connections are OK, check that TCC solenoid valve drive circuit (A2) is as follows.
- Wiring harness resistance of TCC solenoid valve drive circuit is less than 1 Ω.
- Insulation resistance of TCC solenoid valve drive circuit is infinity between solenoid connector and vehicle body ground.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between TCC solenoid valve drive circuit terminal and each terminal at solenoid connector.
- Circuit voltage of TCC solenoid valve drive circuit 0 - 1 V with ignition switch ON position.
Are they in good condition? |
Go to Step 6. |
Repair or replace defective wire harness. |

- Check resistance of TCC solenoid valve. See Solenoid Valve On-Vehicle Inspection
Is it in good condition? |
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck. |
Replace TCC solenoid valve (valve body assembly). |
