CVT fluid temperature sensor circuit check
- Turn off ignition switch and disconnect TCM and solenoid connectors.
- Check for proper terminal connection to TCM and solenoid connectors.
- If connections are OK, check that CVT fluid temperature sensor signal circuit (A1) and ground circuit (A2) are as follows:
- Wiring harness resistance of CVT fluid temperature sensor signal circuit and ground circuit is less than 1 Ω.
- Insulation resistance of CVT fluid temperature sensor signal circuit is infinity between solenoid connector and vehicle body ground.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between CVT fluid temperature sensor signal circuit terminal and terminal at solenoid connector.
- Circuit voltage of CVT fluid temperature sensor signal circuit and ground circuit is 0 - 1 V with ignition switch in ON position.
Are they in good condition? |
Go to Step 3. |
Repair or replace defective wire harness. |
| 3 |
CVT fluid temperature sensor check
- Check CVT fluid temperature sensor. See CVT Fluid Temperature Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection
Are they in good condition? |
Go to Step 4. |
Replace CVT fluid temperature sensor (valve body assembly). |
| 4 |
DTC recheck
- Clear DTC. See DTC Clearance .
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Perform DTC confirmation procedure, and check DTC.
Is DTC P0711 still detected? |
Go to Step 5. |
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck DTC. |
| 5 |
ECT sensor check
- Check ECT sensor. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR INSPECTION
.
Is it in good condition? |
Replace ECM and recheck DTC. See ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
. |
Replace ECT Sensor. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
