Brake Booster Removal and Installation: Removal

- Remove battery referring to BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove air cleaner assembly referring to AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove intake manifold referring to INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove master cylinder assembly from booster referring to MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect vacuum hose from booster referring to MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER COMPONENTS .
- Remove the following brake pipes. See Front Brake Hose and Pipe Removal and Installation
- Master cylinder primary to ABS (ESP®) hydraulic unit pipe
- Master cylinder secondary to ABS (ESP®) hydraulic unit pipe
- ABS (ESP®) hydraulic unit to left front brake pipe
- Remove steering joint cover.
- Remove clip (1) and then remove push rod clevis pin (2).
- Loosen booster mounting nuts (3) and then remove booster.
