Intake Manifold Removal and Installation: Removal

Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
Remove windshield wiper arms with wiper blades, see WINDSHIELD WIPER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove cowl top garnish and cowl top panel, see COWL TOP AND FRONT LOWER CROSSMEMBER COMPONENTS .
Remove air cleaner assembly, see Air Cleaner Assembly Removal and Installation .
Remove throttle body assembly, see Throttle Body Assembly Removal and Installation .
Disconnect the following wiring harness connectors and hoses.
- EVAP canister purge valve connector (1)
- IMT valve actuator connector (2)
- Brake booster hose (3)
- PCV valve hose (4)
- Purge hose (5)
- Engine harness clamps

Remove intake manifold (1) and intake manifold gaskets (2) from cylinder head.
