DTC check
- Check DTC.
Is there DTC(s) other than P0111? |
Go to applicable DTC(s). |
Go to Step 3. |

IAT sensor signal circuit and ground circuit check
- Turn OFF ignition switch and disconnect connectors from MAF & IAT sensor and ECM.
- Check for proper terminal connection to MAF & IAT sensor and ECM connectors.
- If connections are OK, check that IAT sensor signal circuit (B1) and IAT sensor ground circuit (B2) are as follows.
- Wiring harness resistance of each IAT sensor signal circuit and ground circuit is less than 3 Ω.
- Insulation resistance of IAT sensor signal circuit is infinity between MAF & IAT sensor connector and vehicle body ground.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between IAT sensor signal circuit terminal and each terminal at MAF & IAT sensor connector.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between IAT sensor ground circuit terminal and each terminal at MAF & IAT sensor connector.
- Circuit voltage of each IAT sensor signal circuit and ground circuit is 0 - 1 V with ignition switch in ON position.

Repair or replace defective wire harness. |

IAT sensor check
- Check IAT sensor. Refer to MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) & INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR INSPECTION

Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck DTC |
Replace MAF & IAT sensor. |
